Dr Brian Leggin

Brian Leggin is currently Coordinator of Clinical Outcomes at Good Shepherd Penn Partners, Penn Therapy and Fitness and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine. He received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in 1991, a Master of Science in Biomedical Science from Drexel University in 1997, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University in 2006. He is certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.


He has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles on topics related to shoulder rehabilitation and outcomes. Brian is the author of the Penn Shoulder Score. Brian has also contributed over 20 book chapters and has given hundreds of professional and scientific presentations at local, state, national, and international conferences. He regularly lectures at local physical therapy programs including Thomas Jefferson University, DeSales University, and Arcadia University. He is an active member, past-president, and Fellow of the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists, a founding member of the Mid-Atlantic Shoulder and Elbow Society, and founding member and president of the Philadelphia Orthopedic and Sports Rehabilitation Foundation. His clinical and research interests include outcome measurement as well as rehabilitation of shoulder, elbow, and sports related injuries.

Dr Brittany Lynch

Brittany Lynch, earned her Bachelors of Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Delaware and has over 10 years-experience treating orthopaedic conditions as well as high school, collegiate and professional athletes. She completed a Sports Physical Therapy Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Centers for Rehab Services (CRS) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she gained experience with athletes ranging from high school to professional level. She is a Board-Certified Sports and Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. She was residency faculty, teaching the shoulder and running didactic components, for the Sports and Orthopedic Residency Programs, while also being employed as a full-time staff physical therapist at the Center for Sports Medicine for nearly 8 years.


She’s currently an Advanced Clinician at Penn Therapy and Fitness and a Research Physical Therapist in the Human Motion Laboratory within the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She’s an adjunct professor in the School of Health Professions at Rutgers University and a co-investigator in the Rutgers RunLab. She has multiple peer-reviewed publications and abstracts. She’s been a co-author on multiple shoulder-related Independent Study Courses in the Academy of Orthopedic Physical Therapy. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (2009), the Sports (2011) and Orthopedic (2013) Sections, and previously the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education Accreditation Services Committee (2016).
