Annie is a passionate performance physiotherapist with extensive experience working with professional performers and athletes. Annie is also one of Australia’s leading Vocal Physiotherapists.
Annie’s passion for performance physiotherapy developed on London’s West End where she managed performers in over 30 productions. When Annie returned to Australia and recognised the physical hardships of performers and the demands on their bodies, Performance Medicine was born. Annie has brought sports science to the arts to improve the life and career of performing artists.
With extensive experience in the treatment and enhancement of the professional voice using vocal physiotherapy techniques, Annie works alongside ENT specialists, speech pathologists and vocal coaches. Annie presents Vocal Physical Therapy workshops nationally and internationally for both physiotherapists and speech pathologists.
Catherine Etty-Leal

Catherine is a Titled APA Sports and Exercise, and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with an interest in dance, performance, vocal, TMJ and paediatrics.
She has extensive experience treating professional artists and athletes, with considerable Vocal Physiotherapy training. This includes Muscle Tension Dysphonia, throat pain syndromes and the performance voice. Because of this, she has a special interest in TMJ (jaw) pain, focusing on the treatment and management of TMJ pain and asymmetry, particularly for singers and professional voice users.
Catherine graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and has completed her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy and Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through LaTrobe University. Furthermore, Catherine has also completed her post graduate study at Monash University in the field of paediatric physiotherapy.
