Dr Angela James

Angela James is the founder of Sydney Pelvic Clinic and a pioneer in the treatment of patients with pelvic health conditions. Angela holds a Specialist title from the Australian College of Physiotherapy as a recognition of her clinical achievements.


Angela is passionate about pelvic physiotherapy and has developed a team of like-minded, highly trained professionals at Sydney Pelvic Clinic. Angela regularly runs courses locally and internationally for practitioners including The Pregnant Pelvis, Coccyx & Perianal Pain, Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Physiotherapy Management for Endometriosis. All her courses are taught with a whole-person, biopsychosocial framework. She is a casual lecturer at the University of Melbourne, teaching the Advanced Clinical Practice subject in the Masters of Pelvic Health program.

Elise Fraser

MClinPhysio (Continence & Women's Health) | BPhysio


Elise is a highly experienced Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and Lecturer at The University of Melbourne. Elise has a particular interest and extensive experience in the areas of pregnancy and postnatal care, urogynaecology and obstetric perineal trauma.


She has previously worked in hospital-based maternity, urogynaecology clinics and private sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy practices for more than 15 years, and has been involved in teaching and developing the educational curriculum for the Master of Physiotherapy (Pelvic Health), Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy) and Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (Exercise and Women’s Health) and speciality content in the Doctor of Physiotherapy program at The University of Melbourne.


Elise’s teaching, research and clinical interests include the conservative management of pelvic floor dysfunction, persistent pelvic pain, including Endometriosis, mastitis and the role of exercise in optimising health outcomes.
