Enjoy this sneak peak highlighting some of the tests used to evaluate hamstring strength and function.
Learning Objectives
- Refine and enhance your understanding of 1) relevant hamstring anatomy; 2) the distinguishing features between the different hamstring muscles & their impact on function; 3) implications of injury location; and 4) epidemiology of hamstring injuries.
- Learn how to conduct a thorough subjective assessment that will guide your subsequent physical assessment and diagnosis.
- Learn what tests to include in your physical assessment and how to interpret the findings.
- Understand the key rehabilitation principles to ensure optimal outcomes, including target adaptations (e.g. activation, RFD, metabolic endurance, peak force) and addressing typical post-injury deficits.
- Learn how to test and assess peak force, eccentric strength, RFD and metabolic capacity, and how to use this information to guide return to sport planning.

Anatomy & Assessment
Location matters! Learn how injuries to different structures influence recovery & how to differentiate between them with a solid assessment.

Rehabilitation
Rehab isn't just leg curls & Nordics! Learn how to address common deficits and restore peak force, eccentric strength, power & metabolic endurance.

Hamstring Testing
Assess, don't guess! Learn how to test peak force, eccentric strength, rate of force development and metabolic capacity.
